BELEX Connect

BELEX Alumni Seed Fund Initiative for Academic Excellence and Student Support

Introduction

The Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University, has a long history of producing highly competent engineers, innovators, researchers, and leaders who contribute significantly within Nepal and abroad. Pulchowk Campus has played a crucial role in fostering technical education, leading research, and promoting innovation.

Despite the achievements, many students continue to face financial, technological, and infrastructural challenges during their academic journey. Limited scholarship opportunities, insufficient research funding, gaps in laboratory resources, and constraints in digital and learning infrastructure often restrict the potential of talented students.

Recognizing these challenges, a collective effort from the alumni community can create a sustainable and long-term solution. BELEX Connect is a drive to support these challenges, while limiting our current focus initially on ideation (discovery) and securing a financial commitment within fellow alumni which could be used for objectives listed below. In the long run, it could easily transform into Alumni Seed Fund—a structured financial mechanism created, funded, and governed by graduates of the campus for the advancement of academic excellence and student welfare.

Vision

“As we celebrate 25 years of our engineering journey, we want to give back to the place that built us. The BELEX Connect is our collective effort to uplift the next generation of engineers — ensuring they have better access, better tools, and better opportunities. Together, we build a legacy that lasts.”
